Rental Vouchers

The Honorable Brian Joyce
Room 413-A
State House
Boston, MA 02133

Dear Senator Joyce,

On behalf of the United Disability Housing Partnership, I want to thank you for sponsoring an amendment to increase funding for the Alternative Housing Voucher Program (AHVP).

The additional $700,000 that the Senate approved will provide approximately 100 new housing vouchers for low-income and homeless individuals with disabilities. AHVP is an important tool as we work to address the housing concerns of persons with disabilities.

United Housing is a cross-disability coalition of disability housing organizations dedicated to expanding safe, affordable, and accessible housing options for disabled persons. United Housing is made up of more than forty groups and organizations, representing over 150,000 individuals across Massachusetts.

Again, thank you for your work on affordable housing. Please do not hesitate to contact me if United Housing can be of assistance to you.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned Members of United Disability Housing Partnership
