Advocacy
UCAN members meet with legislators at a forum in Worcester

It is vital that elected officials consider the impact of housing policies on disabled persons. One of the main purposes of United Disability Housing Partnership is to advocate at the federal, state, and local levels for legislation and public policies that will increase housing opportunities for persons with disabilities.

There is no one method to expand housing opportunities for low-income and homeless individuals living with disabilities. Through the strength of a large group of organizations representing a wide range of disability constituencies, United Housing works to educate policy makers on a variety of issues.
